What is the Full Form of ATM? 




The full form of ATM is the Automated Teller Machine; this is the electro-mechanical machine that is invented by John Shepherd Barron which was firstly installed on 27 June 1967 at the Barclays Bank of London. ATM is an automated the machine invented for banking platforms just to allow clients to make smooth transactions without visiting a bank or branch or hardly required any information. Bank cards, credit cards, or Debit cardholders should be able to withdraw cash from multiple ATMs.

There are two types of ATM’s:

1.    One is a basic cash withdrawal machine, where you can only withdrawal cash and find relevant information such as Mini statement, Account Balance, Passcode Change, and some other information regarding your account.

 

2.    And in other multi-purpose ATM’s through which you can deposit the cash, access account details, and transfer money as well.


What are the Basic Parts of an ATM?




There are two basic parts of ATM one is input and the other is the output that allows people smooth transaction of cash withdrawal and deposit.

Input Devices:

Card Reader: The card reader is the very important part of the ATM that identifies the card details stored on our bank card behind the magnetic strip located at the back. Account information is collected by the card reader and sent to the server, once you insert your card the processing gets a start and your cash withdrawal process is starting as per the account information that you insert.  

Keypad: This device is very necessary because it helps the user to enter all the relevant data into a machine such as Account number, Password, Cash Amount, Payment Receipt, etc. in encrypted form.

 

Output Devices:

Display screen: This shows all the details on the screen related to the transaction and show all the process step-by-step on a CRT or LCD screen.  

Speaker: This part generates all the information in the form of audio that you enter through buttons.

Cash Dispenser: This is the most important part of the output device that handout the cash. Here high quality of sensor Is installed which helps in cash dispenser to the customer the accurate amount they entre.

Receipt Printer: This output the device shows all the transactions you have done in the form of print and it show all the data from the amount of withdrawal to the remaining balance in the account.
